Symphony celebrates a Fox Christmas with Five By Design!

SPOKANE: The Spokane Symphony and Five By Design, conducted by Morihiko Nakahara will celebrate the Holiday the old fashion way at the beautiful Martin Woldson Theater in The Fox on Friday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. They will be joined by the Spokane Symphony Chorale, directed by Dr. Lori Wiest.

Nakahara is ready for a dazzling holiday production, in the tradition of the Holiday Pops! The Spokane Symphony will be joined by the fabulous voices of the Spokane Symphony Chorale to present a program that has been an important part of family traditions in Spokane for many years. But this year, they will be joined by the extraordinarily talented Five By Design, the dynamic quintet who brought you Radio Days and Stay Tuned. Known for their tight harmonies and period costumes, the group was dubbed one of the best pops programs of the season by the Washington Post.

The thrilling sounds of the Spokane Symphony Chorale set the scene for a festive celebration featuring popular holiday favorites O Come All Ye Faithful, and 'Tis the Night Before Christmas, while Five by Design will perform a potpourri of nostalgic Christmas favorites, including include White Christmas, The Carol of the Bells, Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. The evening will be rounded out with a jazz version of Jingle Bells, an appearance by Santa, an audience sing-along.

This concert is possible due to the generous support of the Residents of Rockwood Retirement and be Merrill Lynch.
