Event Details
Lutoslawski, Venetian Games
M. Karlowicz, Violin Concerto in A Minor
P. Tchaikovsky, Symphony No. 5
Explore the Polish soul with two Polish composers, one Polish conductor and a Polish soloist. “Venetian Games” was a breakthrough piece for Lutoslawski, a leader of the Polish avant garde. Karlowicz was one of the most prolific Polish Romantics. Concertmaster Mateusz Wolski will perform his exquisite and virtuoso violin concerto. Finally, hear Tchaikovsky’s dynamic, emotional and sweeping Symphony No. 5.
“Michal Nesterowicz and his concerts are full of his soul and energy. He always conducts like it is the last concert of his life. It is therefore why his audience loves him so much.”
