SYMPHONY YES!
Symphony YES! - Youth Exploration Series - is a program that offers great seats at reduced prices for families to specially selected concerts from our regular Classics series. Each concert includes various pre-concert activities, including backstage tours, opportunities to meet the conductor and musicians, and a special concert program for students. All concerts are on Sundays at 3 pm at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox, with a pre-concert event at in the Theater's North Gallery beginning at 2 pm. The Symphony YES! concerts for the 2009-2010 Season are:
Beethoven! on Sunday, October 11, 2009. Hear one of Beethoven’s most famous symphonies – the Fifth and hear Beethoven’s exciting Violin Concerto under the direction of Music Director Eckart Preu.
Dance Fever on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Hear a very rare and exciting performance of a harp concerto, as well as dance music and a beautiful Schumann symphony under the direction of Resident Conductor
From the Golden City on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Experience the fabulous New World Symphony, as well as a very talented young cellist play a rarely played concerto under the direction of Music Director Eckart Preu.
Bursts of Nature on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Hear an overture and beautiful songs by famous French composers and one of Johannes Brahms’ greatest symphonies under the direction of Guest Conductor Larry Rachleff
